pop-up projection performances

Coming Soon across Lake St E in South Minneapolis, June 2025
With generous support from the State of Minnesota through the Graves Foundation to Lake St Lift

Projection artist Paul Herwig will conduct five free pop-up projection performances across the Lake Street East Corridor throughout the month of June.

and where you should stand for the best view of the projections

Each pop-up performance is free, and will last between 30 and 45 minutes.
Expect lively, colorful, animated imagery and lighting effects as a way to transform neglected surfaces,
reclaim forgotten corners, and reimagine buildings to make the urban environment more joyful and fun to be in!

All performances will begin at approximately 9:30pm *
 * performances take place in the evening to take advantage of the darkness
required for projections to be visible

ABOUT THE PROJECT
 
Paul Herwig lights up the East Lake Street corridor in Minneapolis with vibrant, playful, and fantastical projections! Future Projections, is led by award winning Minneapolis artist Paul Herwig, and is a Twin Cities provider of immersive projection decor for events, performing arts, and public art projects. Paul rides the streets of Minneapolis on The Projector Bike to conduct pop-up projection events across the City, enlivening well known buildings with a light show, or transforming neglected or forgotten corners of the urban landscape into beautiful and fantastical digital murals!
